  • Psychologytoday.com allows you to put in your home address and insurance and will display options of nearby therapists or psychiatrists that might work for you. You have access to contact information and can request virtual calls upon speaking.  

 

  • Use the GoodRx Telehealth Marketplace to find affordable online therapy, you can find a provider and schedule an appointment in a matter of minutes. 

 

  • National Suicide Prevention Hotline 1-800-273-TALK (8255), free and confidential 24/7 support.

  • Crisis Text Line Text "Hello" to 741741. Free 24/7 confidential support. Volunteers can help people in a crisis. They can help with anxiety, depression, suicide, emotional abuse, bullying, self-harm, loneliness, etc.

  • National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI): offers resources for family members and friends of those with mental illnesses, mental health treatments, mental health research news, publications, and a video library. NAMI also has peer-led local support groups for both those with mental health conditions and those who care for a person with a mental illness.

 

  • NAMI volunteer hotline that can provide resources referrals (not to be used for crisis). Call the NAMI HelpLine anytime 24/7 at 1-800-950-NAMI (6264). ​

 

  • Betterhelp.com is the world’s largest virtual counseling platform. Inclusive of video chat, phone calls, unlimited messaging, and more. 

 

  • Talkspace.com website includes, “Send your therapist text, audio, picture, and video messages at any time, and they will respond daily, 5x/week. If you’re looking for the “face-to-face” therapy experience, we also offer Live Video Sessions so you and your therapist can plan to connect in real-time.” 

 

  • Brightside.com actually connects you to a psychiatrist who can virtually help you find the right prescription or treatment plan for you. They also have virtual therapy sessions available. 

 

  • Teencounseling.com is a great platform for teens to be matched up with a virtual therapist who specializes in their age group. Sessions can be held through text, video, or phone call. 

 

  • Pridecounseling.com provides mental health support with counselors who specialize in the LGBTQ community. Pride Counseling that is accepting of people from every gender, orientation, and identity.

 

  • Regain.us is a great online platform for couples counseling, and can be offered to both members of a couple or individually. 

 

  • Drugwatch.com provides free online health guides and researched articles that inform consumers about various health conditions as well as potentially harmful drugs and devices. 

 

  • MentalHealth.gov  Resources on what to look for and how to talk to someone possibly struggling with mental health. Also, includes information on getting help.
